Commissions

In March 2009 I completed the fourth in a series of embroidered jackets for David Gainsborough Roberts, a local gentleman, whose collection of film memorabilia, particularly items that were once owned by Marilyn Monroe, is internationally known.
These commissions represent a significant body of work, so much so that I have decided to present them as a separate gallery.
They have featured in Workbox magazine, June/July 2009 edition and will feature in Craft and Design, September/October 2009 edition
Although I am better known for my textile jewellery, I enjoy working to commission as it is always a challenge to help someone realize their idea. Invariably technical problems are posed which stimulate me to experiment with new ways of working. It is always a learning situation.
Happily my patron, David Gainsborough Roberts appreciates the quality of my work and has always been charmed and delighted with each new design. He is well known in Jersey and wears the jackets to many prestigious venues. He recently told me that people are disappointed if he is seen without one.
