Beaded Jewellery
I create a range of styles inspired by my collection of vintage beads and costume jewellery.
Often a pendant may have begun life as a brooch or single earring. It is carefully restored and adapted to a new purpose, then threaded with a complementary setting.
It is satisfying to recycle something that was once special and the knowledge that the beads and pendants have a past is intriguing.
Some of the pieces I use are Victorian, many are from the twenties and thirties, and some are more modern.
Of course it is not possible to use vintage beads exclusively and I mix them with quality glass beads and natural stones.
Most necklaces are designed to fit within a scooped neckline, above the cleavage and are long enough to fit over a closer neckline. Where the length differs from this I have specified in the description. They are all threaded on quality beading thread and secured with a barrel clasp.
Each beaded necklace is unique and never repeated.
